Tinker Creative Impact Lab

Where Creativity Becomes Opportunity.

The Tinker Creative Impact Lab is a unified space where making, movement, and microbusiness training come together to help families in rural Louisiana build stability, creativity, and long-term opportunity.

What We Do

Tinker Creative Impact Lab is a supportive, community-centered environment that blends creativity with healing practices. We create Neurodivergent-friendly, trauma-aware spaces where people can learn, rest, explore identity, and build connection.

  • Branding

  • Product development

  • Pricing

  • Photography

  • Packaging

  • Consignment

  • Maker market readiness

Movement

Trauma-informed, Neurodivergent-friendly wellness practices designed to help people regulate, restore, and reconnect with their bodies. Includes:

  • Yoga

  • Breathwork

  • Mindfulness

  • Restorative practices

  • Youth wellness programs.

Micro-business

Hands-on, sensory-safe creative learning across:

  • Laser cutting, engraving, and fabrication

  • Apparel + DTF print production

  • Sewing, upcycling, and textile arts

  • Creative recycling and circular economy projects

  • Maker tools and community DIY access

Our fabrication labs support both skill-building and small-batch production.

Who We Serve

We work with:

  • Neurodivergent adults

  • Trauma-impacted individuals

  • Under-employed adults

  • Youth ages 6–18

  • Single parents

  • Rural families

  • Creative entrepreneurs and makers

Our goal is to build accessible pathways for people who’ve historically had limited access to creative, wellness, and workforce opportunities.

Why This Matters

Donaldsonville and the River Parishes face:

  • High poverty and under-employment

  • Limited youth enrichment programs

  • Minimal mental health/wellness access

  • No creative fabrication centers

  • No Neurodivergent-regulated workforce pipelines

Families need spaces that support both healing and economic mobility. That’s exactly what the Impact Lab exists to provide.
